The carpet was made red with the blood of the innocent.

With the Oscars having just past, I took some time to reflect on acting in sports. So without further ado, here are the 2007 Academy Awards: Sports Edition.

Best Original Score: Boise State

I know everybody has seen this 1,238,746 times but admit it, you still get chills.

Best Supporting Actor: Lebron James

WAIT A MINUTE! King James is a LEAD ACTOR!
But nobody did a better job of supporting a team on his back than Bron Bron. The simple fact that they got to the Finals is all you need to know. But the fact that he took a team with the likes of Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden and Eric Snow to the finals makes it unanimous.

Best Original Screenplay: Chris Berman

If you read blogs or go to YouTube or don't live in the Andes mountains you know why.

Best Makeup: Boston Red Sox

This team had the perfect balance of everything. Great leadership in Francona and Varitek. Veteran bats in Manny, Big Papi, and Lowell. Clutch pitching in Schilling, Paps, and Beckett. Youth in Lester, Pedrioa, and Ellsbury. Speed in Crisp and Lugo. And The Great Youkilis. It's no wonder they won it all.

Best Actress: Maria Sharapova

Do I need to explain?

Best Actor: Manu Ginobili & Greg Paulus (Tie)

Are there two better flopper in the game? I dare you to find anyone else.

Ginobili obviously learned from his futbol playing country men. How else could you explain the extravagance?

As for Paulus, he probably learned from Reddick, but this one takes the cake.

And finally...
